I have this day medically examined Mr. G. Stafford Northcote and am of opinion that he will be unfit for duty as Assistant Portmaster General, Hong Kong, on the expiry of his leave on December 16th and recommend that he be invalided out of the Service. He has suffered severely from the effects of the climate and has been unable to remain at his post during the summer for the last two years. He has suffered from Chronic gastritis and his nervous system will not stand the strain of further residence in Hong Kong.
